Community Charities Matching Grants

Michigan Masons have been making an impact on our communities since the first Lodges were founded in colonial Detroit more than 200 years ago.

Through its Community Charities Matching Grants Program, the Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation will match a local Lodge’s contribution, up to $1,500 per fiscal year, to benefit a variety of organizations, causes and programs such as schools, public safety and youth organizations, local food banks and struggling families. Whether a Lodge chooses to help a number of organizations, or concentrate its efforts on one large cause, Masons are working hand in hand with local partners to tap the ingenuity and can-do spirit of a community, and tackling some of the immediate challenges facing its citizens, enriching lives and deepening the connection between lodges and their communities.

For Lodges: Applying for Matching Grants

Lodges may request matching grants using the application and submitting it to the Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation. Please allow up to 14 days for your application to be processed and a check remitted. Grant checks are payable to the requesting Lodge, not the recipient charity. Lodges are responsible for paying recipient charities directly.

Matching grant applications for the Foundation’s 2018-2019 fiscal year must be submitted by March 31, 2019.
